60s Revival in an Amusement Park

Monte Carlo, Principality of Monaco

Nestled within Le Trocadéro, an iconic 1960s-style building, this project draws its inspiration from the transformative spirit of Monte Carlo’s economic boom. This era not only reshaped the city’s skyline but also infused its Mediterranean coastline with a distinctive energy — where bold architecture met the vibrancy of leisure.

Our collaboration with the apartment’s owner — a distinguished Italian art collector — was driven by a shared vision: to craft a living space that pays tribute to the elegance and innovation of Italian 1960s design. Through a process of meticulous research and thoughtful curation, we delved into the era’s most iconic references, reinterpreting them with fresh materials, refined color palettes, and bespoke furnishings. The result is a seamless blend of history and modernity, where every element speaks of craftsmanship and cultural legacy.

Our philosophy embraces both permanence and adaptability, bridging architectural interventions with flexible, movable pieces that invite personal expression.

A highlight of the project is the Pentagramma shelving system — conceived specifically for this space as a canvas for individuality. Designed to evolve with its residents, it encourages the display of personal mementos, transforming the functional into the poetic.

Here, design becomes a narrative — a dialogue between past inspirations and present living.
